New Balance X-Racer Trail Features An Earthy “Marblehead” With Exuberant Pink_Sole Says It All

With ventures back into the basketball space and collaborations with luxury brands such as Stone Island, New Balance has been embracing a variety of lifestyles via their footwear. After a surge of new 57/40s to have surfaced, The Intelligent Choice is revisiting the hiking-inspired X-Racer Trail by coming forth with a third colorway.

Similar to the “Phantom” and “Virtual Sky” offerings, the new “Marblehead” arrangement is yet another mix of vivid brights and dark tones mimicking retro aesthetics. Uppers are constructed of a durable mesh in a grey Marblehead shade. For an earth-toned palette, olive and black synthetic suede overlays wrap around the bottom half of the model. The strap on the front and mesh on the tongue, both in a bright blue, are reminiscent of the details and colors found on hiking footwear. Hits of Exuberant Pink found on the “N” logo on the sides, the tongue, and the ABZORB-branded outsole further complicate the design’s color-blocking. A high-traction outsole completes the look to further amp up the durability for outdoor pursuits.
