First previewed in August 2020, the sacai x Nike VaporWaffle “Sesame” finally arrives to retailers on April 29th.

Part of the Japanese label’s third batch of the reworked Waffle Trainer, the forthcoming pair features a layered aesthetic that’s become synonymous with Chitose Abe’s Swoosh-backed collaborations. Hits of “Blue Void” join the mix throughout the mid-foot, heel and tongue, but make the boldest statement via their appearance on the protruding midsole component. A mix of suede, synthetic leather and nylon nod to Nike’s original racing sneakers, while simultaneously proffering a high-quality proposition in-line with sacai’s individual endeavors. As the model’s name suggests, a waffle-pattern outsole rounds out the pair in an all-black makeup like the original from the Swoosh’s earliest days.
