Updated July 24th, 2023: Crenshaw Skate Club founder Tobey McIntosh shares an official look at his upcoming collaboration with Nike, stating that they’re “coming sooner than expected”. Currently, the shoes are anticipated to drop in October, but could be dropping earlier based on Tobey’s Instagram post.
“Being able to work on a SB Dunk has been a dream of mine ever since I was a kid. My first pair of skate shoes was a pair of SBs that I took from my moms closet. To say that 10 years later I’m collaborating with @nikesb on a dunk is surreal.
I started Crenshaw Skate Club in 2017 with the mission of empowering and shedding light on all inner city skaters around the world due to the lack of representation in the skate industry.
Now, we are able to spread our message and shed light on inner city skateboarding by way of @nikesb . Wow!! ?
Thank you to everyone at Nike SB involved on this project, from start to finish you ALL made my dreams come true and brought my vision to life.
Thank you to @garrett.labrie & @itsmamadou for all your help on this for the past year and a half.”

After a brief butting of heads between Nike SB’s Instagram and sneaker accounts showcasing leaked imagery, the Creshaw Skate Club x Nike SB Dunk Low has since surfaced in up-close photos showcasing the collaboration’s many hidden details in homage to inner-city skaters.
Featuring our best look at the upcoming dual-effort yet, the LA-based banner has strewn a number of motifs throughout the heavily cushioned ensemble, bearing the club’s building block insignia along the medial tongue and tread at the heel accompanied by crisp white nimbus clouds to hit home the baby blue, sky-inspired outsole underfoot. Elsewhere, the brand’s playful font assumes the style of the tongue and heel tab logos alongside a burnished tie-dye finish executed along the insoles.
As far as the color blocking goes, the silhouette anchors the entirety of its upper in a clad-suede association. Introducing its base layer with an onslaught of light cream, graphic grip tape overlays surround the latter with scratches of mint green cast atop a dominant burgundy background. While pistachio hues conclude by rounding out the nylon collar and tongue tabs, the cracked leather mid-foot Swooshes enjoy a familiar color match to the icy blue outsole below.
Scheduled to release in October for a retail price of $130, in the meantime enjoy a detailed look at the upcoming Crenshaw Skate Club x Nike SB Dunk Low below.
For more offerings from underneath the Beaverton brand’s umbrella, the Nike Air Foamposite One “Eggplant” is set to return in Spring 2024.
